YPN’s annual Twenty Under 40 awards the top twenty young professionals in the Reno-Tahoe region. The 2020 year was quite like any other, and YPN came to us with the task to step this virtual and distanced event up a notch.

Each year in the past, YPN has held an in-person event and celebration to honor the top Twenty Under 40 but because an in-person event wasn’t possible, they had to get created. YPN’s board decided to host the 2020 awards night at the Drive Ins, where nominees, families, friends, and attendees could sit in the comfort (and safety) of their own cars and watch the ceremony unfold on the big screen. This format wasn’t ideal for physical programs either, so a touchless, mobile program was a must, and we took this interesting project on.

The Bareknuckle team came with a digital program where participants could scan a QR code and view the program on their phones. Intrigued by the idea and by the event honoring such successful young professionals in our area, we agreed to be Twenty Under 40 program sponsors in exchange for some classic Bareknuckle-style ads throughout the program–like the Winter Body one below. Designing the vintage cover, ads throughout, and each participant page, this project (and this event) was a fun one! And we’d be foolish to not mention our client, Cody from Full Circle, who was nominated for this year’s award. Isn’t he handsome?
